Mike Grunwald

Mike Grunwald is a retired Air Force Colonel will over 29 years of Air Force and corporate experience in various operational and leadership assignments. His last active-duty assignment was as the AETC Director of Intelligence, Analysis, and Innovation.

Mike brings extensive strategic, operational, and leadership expertise as a successful ISR Squadron and Training Group Commander, as well as the Director of the Air Forces Central Command ISR Division at Al Udeid. He deployed nine times to the Pacific and Central Command AORs serving in a variety of analytic, liaison, and leadership roles. He is a 1999 graduate of the USAF Weapons School.

After retirement, Mike was the Senior Vice President for Operations for a small company leading company efforts to revolutionize US and international military, corporate, and academic learning environments. His team launched a family of courses to grow New Zealand and Australia’s nascent military space capabilities and managed innovative opportunities to develop and deliver innovative C5ISR and analytic learning solutions for clients around the world.

Mike graduated from the US Air Force Academy with a Bachelor of Science in 1994. Since then, he earned three master’s degrees in National Security Strategy from the National War College, Military Operational Air & Science from Air Command and Staff College, and Air Power History from American Military University.

Mike continues to give back to the Air Force as an Instructor and Facilitator for Air University’s Squadron Command, Applied Senior Leadership, and Strategy and War Courses.
